Overview

Axi Recruitment is working with an established law firm in Hull for a Conveyancing Secretary to join their experienced Commercial Property Department.

Job Details

 

• Deal with clients in person and on the telephone.
• Respond to correspondence from dictation on BigHand, producing emails and letters to clients and third parties.
• Open new files.
• Send terms of engagement and estimates of fees and disbursements.
• Prepare contract packs.
• Prepare completion statements, cashier instructions for repaying charges, and pay the estate agent's fees.
• Prepare transfer and mortgage deeds.
• Deal with the registration of client and lender with the Land Registry.
• File and maintain all storage records, and enter onto the database.
• General office duties including typing photocopying, sending and receiving faxes and processing incoming post and emails.

Experience

• Experience in a secretarial role within a law firm would be advantageous.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to undertake multiple tasks similtaneously.
• Ability to manage your own workload.
• Team-working.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT literacy and digital ditation experience.
