This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate join an established Finance Team, contributing to critical financial analysis and decision-making processes.

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of projects and ensuring the company’s fiscal health. Your responsibilities will include financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Job Details

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including project cost analysis, revenue recognition, and profitability assessments.
• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to develop accurate project budgets and forecasts.
• Design and maintain financial tools to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Track budget performance against actuals, providing regular updates and in-depth analysis.
• Develop and manage financial models to evaluate project feasibility, ROI, and cash flow projections.
• Support decision-making through scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Assist in cost control measures, allocation, and the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
• Analyse and recommend cost-reduction strategies without compromising project quality.
• Prepare and model accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for project and divisional use.
• Present financial results and insights to management and project stakeholders.
• Identify and assess financial risks related to construction projects.
• Streamline financial data collection and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial analysis.

Qualifications

• The role is required to have a degree in Finance or related field.

Experience

• Previous experience in financial analysis, preferably in the Engineering or Construction Industry.
• Keep up to date with latest industry and functional standards and technology.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and standards, and practical application.
• Good understanding of all relevant company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Honesty, integrity, and reliability.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisational and analytical skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
