Axi Recruitment is proud to partner with a global leader in the Engineering and Technical sector to recruit for a Finance Analyst. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate join an established Finance Team, contributing to critical financial analysis and decision-making processes.
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of projects and ensuring the company’s fiscal health. Your responsibilities will include financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Job Details
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including project cost analysis, revenue recognition, and profitability assessments.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to develop accurate project budgets and forecasts.
- Design and maintain financial tools to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Track budget performance against actuals, providing regular updates and in-depth analysis.
- Develop and manage financial models to evaluate project feasibility, ROI, and cash flow projections.
- Support decision-making through scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Assist in cost control measures, allocation, and the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyse and recommend cost-reduction strategies without compromising project quality.
- Prepare and model accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for project and divisional use.
- Present financial results and insights to management and project stakeholders.
- Identify and assess financial risks related to construction projects.
- Streamline financial data collection and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial analysis.
Qualifications
- The role is required to have a degree in Finance or related field.
Experience
- Previous experience in financial analysis, preferably in the Engineering or Construction Industry.
- Keep up to date with latest industry and functional standards and technology.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and standards, and practical application.
- Good understanding of all relevant company policies, processes, and procedures.

- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
