Overview

Axi Recruitment is working with an established business in Hull for a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Finance Manager will report into the Directors and manage a dedicated team of Accounting professionals covering a variety of disciplines.

Job Details

• Oversee of the credit control function daily.
• Communicate with customers on new credit accounts, credit limit reviews and credit account positions.
• Liaise with suppliers to schedule payments, settlement discounts and deal with general account queries.
• Control the company bank accounts and associated administration.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconciliation of credit card statements.
• Full payroll administration.
• VAT returns.
• Regulatory correspondence including HMRC, pensions, etc.
• Produce financial reports.
• Prepare weekly management reports.
• Manage and report on the companies trading agreements including tracking of dates, rebates, etc.
• Responsible for HR functions including recruitment, issuing contracts, updating employee holiday and absence records, liaison with third party employment law support and general day to day HR queries.
• Support the Directors in the day-to-day running of the company.

Qualifications

• An Accounting qualification is advantageous.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proactive and positive approach.
• IT literacy, particularly Excel and Word.
• Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll knowledge.
